St.Catherine's Cultural Centre Kinsale
The former St. Catherine’s church at Ardbrack Kinsale was purchased some time ago from The Church of Ireland with the aim of making it available to the people of Kinsale and the people of Ireland as a cultural, community, historical and family centre. The former church is a beautifully preserved building steeped in the history of Kinsale.
The objective is to refurbish the building including re-slating the roof, install stage lighting, a sound-system a kitchen and toilets and also to preserve its key features such as its stain-glass windows, magnificent organ and historic wall hangings.
The Committee has been actively fundraising and works have progressed during 2019 with a target opening date of...
Additional funds are required to complete the works. Please click the contact button below if you are interested to help with this exciting project.
When this beautiful church became surplus to the needs of the Church of Ireland, a small group of friends in Kinsale from a variety of backgrounds and traditions, raised the money to purchase the building and set up a registered charity called St Catherine’s Cultural Centre Kinsale CLG to refurbish the building and then hand it on in perpetuity to the people of Kinsale.
